Mete's passion for music started at a young age, and he began his career as a DJ in his early 20s, playing at local clubs and events. House music is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in Chicago in the early 1980s. It is characterized by its four-on-the-floor rhythm, which features a steady, repeating kick drum on each beat, and its use of synthesizers, drum machines, and other electronic instruments.
The genre was named after the club "The Warehouse" in Chicago, where DJ Frankie Knuckles is credited with being one of the pioneers of the sound. The music became popular in underground dance clubs in the US, and then spread to Europe and other parts of the world.
House music has many sub-genres, such as deep house, tech house, and progressive house. The music is often associated with a positive, uplifting vibe and a sense of community and inclusiveness. It has also been used as a form of political and social commentary, particularly around issues of race and sexuality.
Today, house music continues to be popular around the world and has influenced many other genres of music, including techno, trance, and EDM (electronic dance music).
